NY Times 10/6/11
I thought the Times today was especially dull. The Greek economy seems to be taking over the front page recently, and it is interesting to read about, but awful to keep up with on a daily basis. Between the economy in the US and the economy of Greece, which according to the Times may be “a big bankruptcy that sets off a new phase of panic in Europe and beyond”, the world seems to be in complete shambles. I wonder if this is really the state of the world, or is it just in the perspective of the NYT?? There has to be some good news worthy of the front page.
The picture on the front says a lot about the different movements that workers are taking part in the US. The picture, vibrant with color, angry looking younger people, and filled with signs saying things like “Revolt!” and “Tax Wall Street”, really show the seriousness about the unemployed. These people want Congress to focus more on job creation and other union related activities. I could not agree more! Maybe I’ll spend the long weekend on Wall Street.
The first day that I see a front page article that does NOT put a damper on my day I am going to be so happy! =)
