I have never really read the Times daily until this class, and I’ve noticed a pattern of depressing, heartbreaking stories on the front page. The minute I glanced at the front picture my first thought was “Oh, God, a cover story about war in Yemen…” Although the article was very informative and interesting, I just wish there would be a brighter story to set eyes on first!
The article about Strauss-Kahn’s affair on A4 really aggravated me. Strauss showed embarrassment about having an encounter with a maid New York but showed no sympathy for the situation; he was just mad it ruined his political campaign. The woman claimed to have been raped, but there was no case against him. Is there no justice in the world anywhere?
